Robyn O’Kane, DVM, PhD, MBA - Medical Director
Dr. O’Kane has joined our team as Medical Director to help with our growth of clinics and services. She received her BS in Animal Bioscience from Penn State University, her PhD in Physiology from the Chicago Medical School, and her MBA and DVM from Colorado State University.
Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. O'Kane taught human Anatomy and Physiology to nursing students in Queens, NY, enjoying the diversity of the students and their learning styles. However, her passion for animal welfare finally overcame her love of teaching. Her personal mission is to help reduce euthanasia rates by spaying/neutering and helping keep pets in their homes with affordable surgical and medical care.
In addition to being trained as a spay/neuter surgeon, Dr. O’Kane has had on-the-job training in various other surgical techniques. She enjoys helping teach owners basic care options for their pets as well as helping animals through more difficult medical times. Dr. O'Kane is certified in veterinary acupuncture, cold-laser therapy, medical massage, and has completed all training in veterinary chiropractic medicine. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her menagerie of rescue animals (dogs, cats, cows, goats, bunnies, and donkeys).

Pam Pierce - Founder/President
I have been involved in animal welfare and facility management since the late 1980’s. My career began in equestrian facility management at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center’s 600 horse boarding operation.
I began my career in small animal veterinary services in the late 1990’s. What began as a receptionist position in California evolved into Practice Management in New York.
I then moved on to a position for a humane society in Longmont, Colorado. Upon arriving, an immediate need arose to formulate a health care division for this facility. After creating the health care department, I introduced a low cost spay & neuter program for the organization. It thrived to the point of needing to start an off-site wellness & surgical clinic, due to the demand for services. The clinic remains a steady and vital source of revenue for the organization.
In early 2013 I realized the need to provide outreach services to communities in surrounding areas in Colorado as well as other states. I founded and created a mobile outreach program called Spay Today Mobile Outreach, that program has recently been rebranded to the National Spay Alliance Foundation and is still successfully operating. Our first stop in May 2013 was Dalton, GA and we have been working there every other month since. The demand for services and unwavering support from the community has kept us coming back. At this point, placing Dalton as our home base for NSAF is the most efficient way to serve the population most in need of our services. The addition of wellness & preventive care will continue to grow and educate members of this community, which I now call home. I live with my Aussie Tala and kitties Pancake and Cabby.

I have been in the veterinary industry for over 30 years. I began as a veterinary technician and worked my way into management. I have managed veterinary practices both in the for-profit and non-profit sectors.
After spending 13 years in the animal sheltering industry and watching thousands of families surrender or euthanize their pets and witnessing the number of animals needlessly euthanized because there are not enough homes, I decided I wanted to provide and alternative solution.
In 2014 Pam asked me to join her in furthering her dream of growing the largest low cost high quality spay/neuter mobile practice in the south east, I gladly joined her in her endeavour. With my experience in providing low cost veterinary services and our passion to help the Dalton Georgia community we decided to open a clinic in addition to the mobile spay/neuter services we currently offer. I share my home with my husband Fred of 25 years, my daughter Alex who is in college and our Pibble Benson.
